Reinhardt Software GmbH was founded in 1987 by Marc Reinhardt. During the first years, Reinhardt Software acted as subcontracted developer for larger software houses. This changed in 1990, starting the development of our first communications system RSCOMM 1.0. Dealing with the local market initially, our activities have constantly been extended worldwide. From the very beginning, our focus was set on but not limited to the shipping industry.

In 1996, we started developing RSSHIP, an integrated Shipping solution covering Vessels Database, Position List, S&P Modules, Voyage & Laytime Calculation and more. It was completed with a Hire Freight Commission solution in 2002.

In 2005, with the release of Microsoft’s new development platform ‘.Net 2.0′, we decided to follow that route. This forced us to completely rewrite all source code, but also gave us the chance to redesign our various applications into one integrated solution: “System 5″
